A woman named Ayuni, a farmer from Tanoh Abu Village in Central Aceh, Aceh, was found murdered and buried in a coffee garden in Uning Teritit Village, Bukit Bener Meriah District, on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The perpetrator, identified as Edi Andani, who is Ayuni’s husband, was captured by the police. Following a heated argument, Edi harbored a grudge and meticulously planned the murder. On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Edi prepared for the crime by digging a hole in the garden. The next day, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, around 09:30 AM, he lured Ayuni to the garden under the guise of cleaning the area. While Ayuni was crouching down, Edi struck her from behind with a board, causing her to fall unconscious. After ensuring that Ayuni was incapacitated, Edi placed her body in the dug hole. Before burying her, he also took Ayuni’s gold bracelet and cash amounting to Rp 3,000,000 from her pocket, as stated by the Police Chief on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Following an investigation, the perpetrator’s identity was uncovered, prompting a pursuit by the authorities. On Friday, January 31, 2025, the Criminal Investigation Unit of Bener Meriah Police, led by the Head of Criminal Investigation, successfully apprehended Edi in Beranun Teleden Village, Bandar Bener Meriah District, around 01:30 AM. Despite attempting to resist and flee, the police managed to detain the culprit. “Our team acted swiftly, and the perpetrator is now in custody for further legal proceedings,” concluded the Police Chief.
