In the spirit of Earth Day, PT Fajar Mitra Indah (FamilyMart Indonesia) has launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program called “One Coffee, One Action.” This campaign marks the beginning of FamilyMart’s efforts to engage customers in environmental conservation through tangible actions with direct impact. The “One Coffee, One Action” program kicked off on April 22, 2025, coinciding with Earth Day. For two days, every purchase of FamilyMart’s Family Milk Coffee products automatically converts into a donation to support river cleaning activities. Through customer participation, a cup of coffee becomes a real contribution to a cleaner future for the earth.
The peak of the event took place on April 30, 2025, with a river cleaning action in the Jabodetabek area. FamilyMart collaborated with Pandawara Group, a community of young people widely known for their environmental concern, especially in cleaning rivers from waste. During the activity, a total of 8 tons of waste was collected from the river flow. FamilyMart ensures that the collected waste does not end up in landfills. By partnering with waste management partners, all waste is sorted and recycled. The processed plastic waste is then sent to Robries, to be turned into upcycled products such as eco-friendly tables and chairs. These products will be displayed in several FamilyMart stores as a symbol of change and an educational tool for customers.
CEO of FamilyMart Indonesia, Wirry Tjandra, stated that this program is a testament to the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Wirry Tjandra emphasized that the company’s responsibility is not only in business growth but also in environmental sustainability. Through the ‘One Coffee, One Action’ program, the company aims to take real steps in preserving rivers and the surrounding environment. However, they acknowledge that they cannot do it alone and require collaboration from various parties—community, customers, and customers. “Let’s start with small things: throwing garbage in its place, not polluting waterways, and participating in river cleaning activities.
