Positive Impact of Mysterious Sea Fence Unveiled by Tanjung Pasir Fishermen

In a groundbreaking development, Tanjung Pasir fishermen are beginning to experience positive effects following the dismantling of a mysterious sea fence in the Tangerang area. The removal of this sea fence involved a total of 600 Indonesian Navy (AL) soldiers along with local residents.

**Increased Accessibility for Fishermen**

One of the fishermen from Tanjung Pasir, Maun, shared that the impacts are already being felt by the fishermen, even though the dismantling process is being carried out gradually. Maun mentioned that fishermen are now able to navigate through routes that were previously obstructed, making their sailing activities more efficient and smoother.

**Ease of Sailing**

“Indirectly, we are experiencing smoother sailing conditions, although the process is ongoing and gradual,” Maun stated. “Currently, we are already feeling the effects, such as calmer waves, even though the work is not yet completed.”

**Improved Fishing Opportunities**

Furthermore, Maun noted that smaller fishermen can now engage in activities near the coastline, as they were previously affected by the sea fence. This has also impacted larger fishermen like Maun, who faced difficulties in purchasing bait shrimp due to the barrier posed by the sea fence.

**Gratitude towards Government and TNI**

Expressing his gratitude, Maun specifically thanked the government, especially the Indonesian Navy, for directly participating in dismantling the 30-kilometer-long sea fence. He emphasized the importance of cooperation in ensuring the smooth progress of this initiative.

The sea fence, which has recently sparked controversy in Tangerang waters, began to be dismantled by the TNI forces on Saturday morning under the direct orders of President Prabowo Subianto. This action took place amid an ongoing investigation into the sea fence.

As the Tanjung Pasir fishermen continue to benefit from the removal of the sea fence, it is evident that this significant development will have a lasting impact on their livelihoods and fishing activities.
