UBSI Kampus Pontianak Professors Elevate Vocational Competency Certification Exam at SMK Immanuel
In a remarkable display of commitment to student development, professors from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Kampus Pontianak have actively supported vocational students’ competency enhancement by serving as assessors in the Competency Certification Exam conducted by SMK Kristen Immanuel.
The Crucial Role of UBSI Professors
From the 15th to the 17th of January 2025, UBSI professors engaged in the assessment and testing of students’ competencies in the field of Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ). The focus of the exam revolved around computer networking, design, and web application development. As official assessors from the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), Muhammad Sony Maulana, Agung Sasongko, and Raja Sabaruddin actively participated in evaluating the students’ competencies.
The Competency Certification Exam commenced with an opening ceremony at Aula Tiranus 2, SMK Kristen Immanuel, graced by Drs. Samsuni, the Head of Curriculum Department at the West Kalimantan Education Office, and Dr. Hj. Eka Suharti Aprilianti, serving as a supervisor. The event also saw the presence of the school’s structural staff, coordinators, assessors, and a total of 291 twelfth-grade students prepared to undertake the exam at the officially licensed Competency Testing Center (TUK) by LSP.

Muhammad Sony Maulana emphasized that their involvement in the exam aimed to ensure students possess skills aligned with industry demands. “As assessors, we not only assess students’ abilities but also provide insights and guidance to better prepare them for the workforce. This is part of our responsibility as educators,” he explained.
The certification exam plays a vital role in SMK Kristen Immanuel’s efforts to produce competent graduates ready to compete in the job market. As an officially recognized Competency Testing Center by LSP Informatika, the school’s activities instill a culture of quality and excellence in the educational environment.
