On a fine drowsy morning in the city of Bandung, three teenage fans of Persib Bandung, known as bobotoh, with the initials RM, RAP, and ANP, fell victim to a mugging after celebrating Persib Bandung’s victory in the BRI Liga 1 championship. The incident took place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the wee hours on Moch Toha Street in Bandung. The trio lost their motorcycles and cellphones during the unfortunate event. It all happened after they joined a convoy to celebrate Persib Bandung’s victory following the match against Barito Putera at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Friday, May 9, 2025.

According to Police Chief Heri Suryadi of Regol, the three teenagers were on their way home after participating in the victory convoy when they were cornered by three perpetrators identified as JJ, DDS, and RAP on Moch Toha Street. The culprits, brandishing airsoft guns, demanded the victims to stop and then proceeded to snatch their motorcycle. Heri mentioned that the victims inquired about the destination of their motorcycle, to which the perpetrators directed them to Ciateul Street and demanded their three cellphones. Out of fear, the victims hesitantly handed over their phones and were left behind as the culprits fled the scene. The following morning, on May 10, 2025, the victims’ families reported the incident to Regol Police Station, prompting an immediate investigation.

After reviewing CCTV footage and receiving information about the suspects, one of the perpetrators with the initials JJ was apprehended on May 12. Subsequently, two other suspects, DDS and RAP, were also taken into custody. Along with the arrests, the authorities seized a motorcycle, a cellphone, and an airsoft gun from the perpetrators. It was revealed that the airsoft gun was purchased online by the culprits. The suspects are now facing charges under Article 368 of the Penal Code for robbery, with a maximum penalty of nine years in prison. The police are currently looking into whether the victims were associated with a motorbike group. Police Chief Heri emphasized that the actions of the perpetrators constitute thuggery and will not be tolerated.
