So, like, the police have gone ahead and labeled actor Jonathan Frizzy (JF) as a suspect for this whole illegal vape situation filled with etomidate (some hardcore medicine). This vape with the hardcore meds was brought in from overseas and was snagged by the Soekarno Hatta Airport Customs in Tangerang back in March 2025. The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, spilled the tea to reporters on Monday (5/5/2025). “Yup, Jonathan Frizzy is a suspect,” he said.
The Head of the Narcotics Unit at the Soetta Airport Police Station, AKP Michael Tandayu, also confirmed that Jonathan Frizzy has been slapped with the suspect label. According to him, JF, who was previously just a witness, has now been upgraded to suspect status. “Yup (he’s a suspect now, lol),” he said. Ade Ary Syam Indradi mentioned that Jonathan Frizzy was nabbed on Sunday (4/5/2025) evening. “Caught on Akasia Street, Block HA number 17, Pesanggrahan, South Jakarta,” he spilled to the reporters on Monday (5/5/2025).
Etomidate Not a Narcotic
The Head of the National Narcotics Agency of Indonesia (BNN), Komjen Marthinus Hukom, also chimed in on the whole situation with actor Jonathan Frizzy being labeled as a suspect by the police. Jonathan got himself in hot water because of his involvement with using an illegal vape containing Etomidate (some hardcore meds). In relation to this, Marthinus made it clear that etomidate is not a narcotic. “Okay, so he’s not in the narcotic category, maybe it’s still under the health law, ya know,” Marthinus said when approached by the media at the Nusantara II Building, Parliament Complex Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (5/5/2025).
According to him, etomidate is currently classified as a medication, so the rules for it fall under the Health Law. “Not really sure why this matters, but…” he added. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like…Jonathan Frizzy should’ve been more careful with what he was getting himself into. But hey, who am I to judge, right?
