Free Health Check-Up Program Launching in February 2025: How to Register

The Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of the Free Health Check-Up Program (PKG) starting in February 2025. This initiative aims to provide free physical and mental health examinations to the entire population. The program will cater to various target groups through different avenues, including PKG Birthday aimed at infants and children up to 6 years old, as well as individuals aged 18 and above. Additionally, there will be PKG School for children aged 7-17, conducted annually at the beginning of the school year. Lastly, PKG Special will focus on pregnant women, infants, and children up to 6 years old, encompassing health assessments aligned with the Maternal and Child Health Service standards.

To participate in this program, individuals are encouraged to download the SATUSEHAT Mobile (SSM) application. This mobile app will assist users in setting reminders, scheduling appointments, accessing examination results, and receiving health education based on their assessment outcomes. Referring to Minister of Health Regulation No. 33 of 2025, here are the steps to prepare for the PKG Birthday:

Step 1: Download SATUSEHAT Mobile

After downloading the app, users can input their personal information. In case of difficulties, registration for PKG Birthday can also be done through the Ministry of Health’s WhatsApp Chatbot at (0812-7887-8812). Subsequently, select the examination date through the SSM app or the Ministry of Health’s WhatsApp Chatbot. For babies, preschool children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, or those who cannot register independently, parents, guardians, or family members may assist. Newborns will be registered by health personnel through the ASIK website.

Step 2: Register or Activate JKN Membership

To address any health issues identified during the examination and treatment, individuals who are not yet members of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program or have inactive membership status are advised to enroll or reactivate their JKN membership one month before their birthday.

Step 3: Preparing for the Visit to Health Centers or Primary Healthcare Facilities

Participants who have registered will receive notifications for the PKG Birthday via WhatsApp. Messages will be sent 30 days, 7 days, 1 day, and on the birthday itself. Seven days before the examination, a self-administered screening questionnaire will be provided. Participants aged 40 and above are recommended to fast for 8-10 hours before the examination, only consuming water. However, drinking water is allowed post-laboratory tests. Elderly participants are advised to come with a companion. When visiting the healthcare facility, individuals must bring their ID, KIA book for infants and preschool children, examination ticket from the SSM app/WhatsApp, and completed screening questionnaire.

For those who have not registered or received notifications, they can directly visit the healthcare facility with their ID, mobile phone to download the SSM app for registration, and fill out the self-assessment questionnaire using the provided link/QR code before receiving the PKG Birthday service.
