Hasto Kristiyanto Interrogated by KPK Investigators for Three Hours
Sekjen DPP PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto was questioned by reporters upon arriving at the Red and White Building of the KPK in Central Jakarta on Monday (1/13/2025). Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) interrogated DPP PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto for 3.5 hours as a suspect in a bribery and obstruction of justice case. Hasto was questioned by investigators for over three hours on Monday (1/13/2025) starting around 10 a.m. to 1:27 p.m. Hasto then left the KPK Red and White Building accompanied by his legal representatives, Ronny Talapessy and Maqdir Ismail, using a red and white bus. Hasto complied with the KPK investigator’s summons to be questioned as a suspect in a bribery and obstruction of justice case.
Rescheduled Interrogation
KPK investigators initially planned to question Hasto as a suspect in the bribery and obstruction of justice case involving Harun Masiku on Monday (1/6) at 10 a.m. However, Hasto did not show up, prompting the KPK to reschedule the interrogation to today.
On Tuesday (12/24/2024), KPK investigators named two new suspects in the Harun Masiku case. They are Hasto Kristiyanto and lawyer Donny Tri Istiqomah. Hasto is suspected of orchestrating and controlling Donny Tri Istiqomah to lobby KPU members, particularly Wahyu Setiawan, to ensure Harun Masiku’s selection as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the South Sumatra I Electoral District.
Allegations Against Hasto Kristiyanto
Hasto is also accused of directing Donny Tri Istiqomah to actively handle the transfer of bribery money to Wahyu Setiawan through former Bawaslu member and ex-PDI Perjuangan cadre, Agustiani Tio Fridelina. Wahyu and Agustiani had previously been convicted in the case.
