**Mabes TNI and Puspom Collaborate with Authorities to Apprehend and Prosecute Sertu Hendri**
In a groundbreaking development, the Chief of Information Center of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Major General Hariyanto, has unequivocally stated that the General Headquarters (Mabes) of TNI and the Military Police Center (Puspom) of TNI are prepared to collaborate with law enforcement authorities to apprehend and prosecute Sertu Hendri in accordance with the applicable regulations.
During an interview with Tribunnews.com on Wednesday (January 15, 2025), Hariyanto emphasized that the TNI will take decisive action against anyone who violates the law, including active-duty personnel. He reassured the public, stating, “I can assure you that the TNI will act decisively against anyone who violates the law, including active-duty personnel. Mabes TNI and Puspom TNI are ready to cooperate with law enforcement authorities to apprehend and prosecute Sertu Hendri in accordance with the existing regulations.”
Furthermore, Hariyanto underscored that the TNI will not tolerate actions that tarnish the institution’s reputation and harm the community. To this end, he declared that the TNI continues to coordinate with the joint team to ensure that the handling of Sertu Hendri’s case proceeds in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.
**Sertu Hendri Shoots TNI Personnel in Belitung**
The incident unfolded when the personnel of Subdenpom Preparation Belitung, led by Letda Cpm M Jaka Budi Utama, visited the perpetrator’s rented house on Kamboja Street, Tanjungpandan District, Belitung Regency on Monday around 00:32 AM. Upon arrival at the location, the seven-member team began knocking on the door with a strategic approach.
Initially, the perpetrator refused to open the door and inquired about the identity of the group. Suddenly, he turned off the lights and emerged from the house brandishing a firearm. “He pointed the weapon at the personnel, including me. At that moment, facing directly at me, Pratu Aditya, we took cover behind the car,” he recounted.
Despite the personnel issuing warning shots, the perpetrator disregarded them. In a tense situation, Serma Randi, who was positioned next to the house, appeared and demanded that the perpetrator surrender.
