meeting-between-pss-chairman-erick-thohir-and-ndonesian-national-team-officials

Erick Thohir, the big boss of PSSI, had a meeting with the Indonesian national team officials. They wanted to get on the same page about taking the Garuda squad to the World Cup. Not sure why this is such a big deal, but whatever. According to Erick’s Instagram, he listened to what they had to say on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He wrote that he met with the team officials to align our goals of getting Garuda to the World Cup. I guess he’s making sure they’re all on the same page so they can support the Indonesian team against China and Japan in the World Cup 2026 Qualifiers.

Erick thinks the officials are crucial to helping the Red and White Squad achieve their dream of qualifying for the World Cup. I mean, sure, why not? They need to support the players and coaches who are working hard to represent Indonesia. With good teamwork and communication, they can help the Indonesian team perform at their best in the World Cup Qualifiers. The Indonesian team is currently struggling to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, still fighting in the third round of the Asia World Cup Qualifiers. Coached by Patrick Kluivert, they’re in fourth place in Group C with nine points from eight games. They’re trailing by four points from the top two teams. Next up, in June, Indonesia will play two more games, hosting China on June 5 and then heading to Japan on June 10.
