Megawati Reveals Receiving Unpleasant Responses
Jakarta – Megawati Soekarnoputri, the Chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), has recently disclosed that she has been receiving unpleasant responses from various parties despite her kindness towards everyone. During a political speech at PDIP’s 52nd anniversary, she expressed her bewilderment at the negative reactions she has been facing. “Have I not been good? Astaghfirullah. Why do I always receive this response? Replied with sulfur,” she remarked.
Understanding Human Nature
Megawati went on to reflect on the nature of human behavior, acknowledging that not everyone reciprocates kindness in the same manner. She highlighted that individuals often tend to forget the support they have received once they achieve their goals. “Isn’t it true? People are usually like that, once they forget, they forget. That’s why I like to smile at people. How can they change their stance so easily, like chameleons?” she pondered.
Furthermore, Megawati emphasized the importance of unity within PDIP and the need to maintain solidarity within the party. She urged party members to adhere to the directives of the party leadership and issued a warning to those who deviate from the established guidelines. “Be cautious. If you don’t want to follow the directives of your party leader, then you are the ones who chose me. That’s why I ask you to leave,” she asserted.
Ensuring Party Cohesion
Megawati disclosed that PDIP had expelled 27 members, including prominent figures like Joko Widodo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Bobby Nasution, following the 2024 Presidential Election. She justified these actions as necessary to maintain the party’s coherence and prevent internal conflicts. “It has to be done. It’s unfortunate for those who have worked hard. They keep going here and there,” she lamented.
In her efforts to uphold party discipline, Megawati vowed to monitor the conduct of party members closely. She expressed her commitment to ensuring that all members align with the party’s principles and values. “I often think, am I already considered a grandmother? I have eyes. I can see, right?” she questioned.
Emphasizing Party Loyalty
Megawati concluded by reiterating her stance on party loyalty and unity, emphasizing the importance of collective cohesion in achieving shared goals. She underscored the significance of upholding party principles and reiterated her commitment to maintaining the integrity of PDIP. “How many of us are there now? I’m telling you, sorry, you don’t need to seek recognition elsewhere. Just understand who’s who,” Megawati asserted.
