Menpora Dito Welcomes The Dudas-1 for a Collaborative Meeting on Sports and Youth Development
In a bustling corner of Jakarta, at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) headquarters in Senayan, Menpora Dito Ariotedjo, along with Deputy Minister Taufik Hidayat, graciously received a group of celebrities known as The Dudas-1. This star-studded ensemble included actor Gading Marten, actor and presenter Desta Mahendra, singer Ariel Noah, and the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers, Raffi Ahmad, accompanied by his wife Nagita Slavina. The meeting took place on a balmy Thursday afternoon, the 30th of January, 2025.
As the group settled in for a warm and convivial discussion, Menpora Dito engaged in serious deliberations while also sharing moments of light-hearted banter. “We’ve just concluded our inaugural meeting with the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers, Mas Raffi Ahmad, who was accompanied by The Dudas-1,” Menpora Dito remarked.
Expressing his gratitude, Menpora Dito highlighted the ministry’s intention to forge partnerships and collaborations with The Dudas-1 in the realms of youth development, sports, and sport tourism. “The Ministry of Youth and Sports extends its thanks to Mas Raffi, as today we discussed collaborations that can be synergized with sports programs. They will also be able to participate in the regional championship programs organized by the ministry, combined with other youth activities,” the Golkar politician shared.
Looking ahead, Menpora Dito outlined some upcoming initiatives, stating, “In mid-February, we plan to kick off with a full marathon in Labuan Bajo, followed by another event in Mandalika. The Dudas-1 is poised to become ambassadors for healthy living and a culture of sports. This appreciation will motivate the community to lead healthier lives through exercise.”
Meanwhile, Raffi Ahmad, the President’s Special Envoy for Youth Development and Arts Workers, expressed his enthusiasm for collaborating with Kemenpora in promoting health and fitness among the youth. “Thank you, Minister, and Deputy Minister. As the President’s Envoy, I believe we can collaborate, especially in engaging the youth in sports. I have learned a great deal from Minister Dito,” Raffi Ahmad reflected.
Detailing the plans further, Raffi added, “Our first stop will be in Labuan Bajo, where we will align our activities with the Ministry’s programs. We may also visit other locations and events as suggested by Minister Dito. Hopefully, the youthful spirit within us can influence the youth of Indonesia to lead healthy lives through sports.”
With a shared vision for a healthier and more active Indonesia, the collaboration between Kemenpora and The Dudas-1 promises to inspire and engage the nation’s youth in embracing a lifestyle centered on fitness and well-being. As the momentum builds towards the upcoming events in Labuan Bajo and Mandalika, the fusion of sports, culture, and youth development heralds a new chapter in the nation’s journey towards a healthier future.
