**Mystery of Bloodied Corpse in Majalengka Unveiled: Killer’s Identity Revealed**

The shocking discovery of a bloodied corpse in the rice fields of Kertajati District, Majalengka Regency, has finally been solved. The victim was actually murdered by the former husband of his girlfriend. A video of the bloodied corpse circulated on social media and WhatsApp groups on Wednesday night, January 15, 2025. In the video, a male victim was seen with blood all over his neck. The Majalengka Police immediately sprang into action upon receiving the report of the bloodied corpse’s discovery. In less than 24 hours after the incident, the police successfully apprehended the perpetrator.

**Capture of the Suspect**

The Majalengka Police Chief, AKBP Indra Novianto, revealed that the suspect, identified as WD (22), was arrested at his residence in Sukagumiwang District, Indramayu Regency, on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The officers were forced to shoot the suspect in both legs as he resisted and attempted to flee during the arrest. “We managed to capture the suspect in less than 24 hours after the incident,” said Indra during a press conference at the Majalengka Police Station on Friday, January 17, 2025.

**Investigation and Evidence**

Following the report of the discovery of the bloodied male corpse in the rice fields of Kertajati District, the police immediately went to the scene to evacuate the victim’s body. They then proceeded to process the crime scene and secure various pieces of evidence. After questioning witnesses at the scene, the officers visited the victim’s residence, also located in Sukagumiwang District, Indramayu Regency. “The victim had 11 stab wounds on his body. With the information provided by witnesses, we were able to locate and apprehend the suspect,” explained Indra.

**Pre-meditated Murder**

Indra revealed that based on initial investigations, the suspect had planned to end the victim’s life since December 2024. The police also seized several pieces of evidence, including two motorcycles, clothing, sandals, a helmet, a machete handle, a traditional Sundanese dagger, and more.
