Residents in Jakarta took advantage of the mobile SIM card services offered at LTC Glodok on Saturday, January 13, 2024, for renewing their driver’s licenses through the SIM Keliling program. This convenient service was also available at four other locations across Jakarta, including Kantor Pos Lapangan Banteng, Mall Citraland, Kampus Trilogi Kalibata, and Mall Grand Cakung, operating from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
JAKARTA – On Sunday, February 2, 2025, the Directorate of Traffic of the Jakarta Metro Police continued to provide mobile SIM card services at two locations in Jakarta for those looking to renew their driver’s licenses. Through the official X account of the Metro Jakarta Traffic Management Center (TMC), it was announced that the services would be available from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The locations for the services are as follows: in East Jakarta at Jalan Raden Inten Kalimalang next to Mcd Duren Sawit, and in West Jakarta at Jalan Panjang next to Indomaret Kebon Jeruk.
In order to renew their driver’s licenses at the mobile SIM card services, individuals must bring their original ID card (KTP) and driver’s license (SIM) along with photocopies, a completed application form, and undergo a health check at the service location. The services are only available for renewing SIM A and SIM C licenses that are still valid. For those whose licenses have expired, they must apply for a new license at the SIM Daan Mogot office in West Jakarta. The renewal fees are set at Rp 80,000 for SIM A and Rp 75,000 for SIM C, as per Government Regulation No. 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue.
As the demand for mobile SIM card services continues to grow, the Jakarta Metro Police have expanded their locations to provide greater accessibility to residents across the city. The availability of these services at multiple locations not only eases the burden on individuals needing to renew their driver’s licenses but also ensures that the process is more efficient and convenient for everyone involved.
