Navy Officer Dies in Tragic Car Accident in Madura
A devastating single-car accident occurred on Jalan Raya Sejati, Camplong District, Sampang Regency, Madura, on Monday, January 6, 2025, around 03.30 AM local time. The incident resulted in the tragic death of a Navy officer identified as H (35) after being treated at Tanjung Camplong Community Health Center.
The accident, as explained by the Public Relations Officer of Sampang Police, Inspector Dedy Dely Rasidie, began when a Toyota Kijang with license plate number P 1892 WD was traveling from west Sampang towards east, heading to Pamekasan. Upon reaching the scene, the victim’s vehicle veered off and lost control, crashing into the roadside barrier on the south side.
“Despite being rushed to the nearest hospital, the victim succumbed to injuries,” stated Inspector Dedy.
Regarding a circulating video allegedly showing the victim’s car carrying illegal cigarettes, Inspector Dedy clarified that no evidence was found by the police officers at the scene.
“If anyone discovers such incriminating evidence, please hand it over for further investigation,” he emphasized.
Currently, the accident case is being handled by Lantamal V Batuporon Kamal, Bangkalan, Madura, given the victim’s military affiliation.
“The case has been transferred as the victim is a military officer,” Inspector Dedy concluded.
