PDIP Tangsel Gelar Mimbar Demokrasi untuk Menegaskan Kesetiaan kepada Megawati
In a show of unwavering loyalty and commitment to Megawati Soekarnoputri as the Chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the PDIP branch in South Tangerang City organized a free podium event. This event marked the second time they pledged their allegiance by thumbprinting blood. The Chairman of the PDIP South Tangerang City Executive Board, Wanto Sugito, emphasized that party members reaffirmed their loyalty to Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Support for Megawati
“Mimbar demokrasi” was held to allow activists and supporters of the PDIP in South Tangerang City to freely express their opinions regarding the current national situation. Wanto Sugito stated, “This democracy podium is organized to provide freedom of speech for activists and supporters of the PDIP in South Tangerang City to respond to the current national situation. We, the ‘bantengs’ of Tangsel, also express loyalty and unified command towards Megawati Soekarnoputri to continue as the Chairwoman.”
The event was attended not only by Wanto but also by senior PDIP members such as Panda Nababan and members from various levels of the party in South Tangerang City. The 52nd anniversary was commemorated during the event with the theme “Satyam Eva Jayate,” which translates to “Truth Alone Triumphs.”
Defense of Party Solidarity
Wanto emphasized, “Anyone who disrupts the solidarity of the PDIP from the center to the regions, the ‘bantengs’ are ready to move, fight, and stand united with Mother Megawati.” The podium event included all party activists thumbprinting blood, including senior politician Panda Nababan.
Panda Nababan warned that the democracy podium organized by the PDIP South Tangerang City Executive Board could escalate if democratic suppression continues in Indonesia. He highlighted Megawati’s strong ideological leadership and her sole hope for the continued prosperity of Indonesia. He concluded by stating, “If trampled upon, the ‘bantengs,’ especially the ‘bantengs’ of Tangsel, will surely be provoked and rampage to ensure that democracy in Indonesia is not disrupted by the irresponsible.”
This event reinforces the party’s dedication to its leadership and principles, underscoring the importance of unity and loyalty within the PDIP.
