Police Uncover Mutilation Perpetrator in Ngawi: From Argument to Mutilation
In a shocking turn of events, the East Java Regional Police (Polda Jatim) have successfully cracked a premeditated murder case involving mutilation that had stirred up a frenzy among the community. The case unraveled with the discovery of a red suitcase containing a headless body in the Ngawi area.
In less than 3×24 hours, the police managed to apprehend the suspect, who has now been officially charged. During a press conference, the Director of General Crime Investigation (Dirkrimum) of Polda Jatim, Chief Commissioner Pol Farman, outlined the sequence of events leading to the resolution of this case. Through their investigations, it was revealed that the victim and the perpetrator had met at a hotel in Kediri on January 19, 2025. The encounter escalated into a dispute that led the perpetrator to fatally strangle the victim.
“In a state of panic, the perpetrator decided to mutilate the victim’s body in order to fit it into the suitcase. The victim’s body parts were subsequently disposed of in different locations – the legs in Trenggalek, the head in Ponorogo, and the torso inside the red suitcase found in Ngawi,” explained Chief Commissioner Pol Farman on Monday, January 27, 2025.
Furthermore, it was disclosed that the perpetrator had meticulously planned their actions. “The perpetrator purchased plastic, tape, and a knife to mutilate the victim’s body. All actions were carried out with precision,” he added. The investigation process involved various police elements, including the use of forensic technology to verify the authenticity of the evidence. The perpetrator faces charges under Article 340 of the Indonesian Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder, with a maximum penalty.
“We are committed to seeing this case through to ensure justice for the victim’s family,” emphasized Chief Commissioner Pol Farman.
