**Shin Tae-yong’s Translator Hits Back at Bung Towel After Indonesian National Team Firing: STY’s Interpreter Calls for Etiquette**
In the aftermath of Shin Tae-yong’s dismissal as the coach of the Indonesian National Team, tensions have once again flared up. This time, Shin Tae-yong’s translator, Jeong Seok-seo, also known as Jeje, has responded to football observer Tommy Welly, popularly known as Bung Towel.
Jeje was not pleased with Bung Towel’s sarcastic comments about a post where Shin Tae-yong was promoting a South Korean fast-food restaurant. The controversy began when Shin Tae-yong appeared on social media to endorse bb.q Chicken, a fast-food restaurant from South Korea, shortly after leaving his position as the national team coach.
However, the post received a sarcastic response from Bung Towel. “Selling is more suitable,” Bung Towel wrote in his Instagram Story, accompanied by a laughing emoji. Jeje considered this statement as an inappropriate taunt that provoked his anger.
Jeje, known as both Shin Tae-yong’s translator and confidant, did not remain silent.
He immediately responded to Bung Towel’s comment with a post on his own Instagram Story. In his reply, Jeje emphasized that Bung Towel’s criticism had crossed a line. “I am not responding to you because I have no mouth or am in the wrong position. Please maintain etiquette towards him (Shin Tae-yong) at least,” Jeje wrote with a sharp tone.
He also questioned Bung Towel’s motives for continuously criticizing the former South Korean coach, even though Shin Tae-yong was no longer involved with the Indonesian National Team. “In your eyes, he may not be good, and indeed he is no longer here. But are you still not satisfied?” Jeje continued.
This recent exchange highlights the ongoing drama surrounding Shin Tae-yong’s departure and the ripple effects it has caused within the football community. As fans and observers await further developments, the clash between Jeje and Bung Towel serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining professionalism and respect, even in the face of disagreements within the sports world.
