Uncovering the Business Plans Found in Kusnadi’s Seized Notebook
In a startling revelation, the lawyer of PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto, Johannes Tobing, has shed light on the contents of his client’s assistant’s seized notebook. The notebook belonged to Kusnadi and was confiscated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) during a search at Hasto’s residence in Bekasi, West Java on Tuesday (7/1/2025).
Business Plans Unveiled
According to Tobing, the notebook contained business plans that Kusnadi had intended to pursue with his brother, Udin. Tobing disclosed this information during a press conference at the PDIP Headquarters in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (9/1/2025).
“It turns out that in the notebook, Mas Kusnadi had previously established a business venture with his brother, Udin. The company was named Kusudin,” Tobing revealed.
Agricultural Endeavors
Tobing further elaborated that the business venture between Kusnadi and Udin revolved around red onion farming. The operations were set to take place in their hometown.
“It was a small-scale enterprise with a capital of Rp10 million each, totaling Rp20 million for red onion cultivation in their village,” Tobing explained.
The lawyer noted that the notebook was discovered in Kusnadi’s bedroom during the search.
Additional Discoveries
In addition to the notebook, Tobing also addressed the presence of a flash drive seized by the KPK during the raid at Hasto’s residence. The flash drive was reportedly found in Hasto’s child’s bedroom.
However, Tobing clarified that Hasto’s child was unaware of the owner of the flash drive.
“After confirming with Hasto’s child, it was revealed that the flash drive did not belong to them either. When we inquired with Hasto, he also claimed no knowledge of it,” Tobing stated.
Raid in Bekasi and Kebagusan
Prior to the search at Hasto’s residence in Bekasi, West Java and Kebagusan, South Jakarta on Tuesday (7/1/2025), the KPK had conducted raids at both locations. According to Hasto’s legal representative, Johannes Tobing, the investigators only seized a few items.
“There was nothing much, just a flash drive and a small notebook belonging to Hasto’s assistant, Kusnadi,” Tobing informed the press outside Hasto’s house on Tuesday.
In light of these revelations, the mystery surrounding the contents of Kusnadi’s notebook and the ownership of the flash drive deepens, leaving more questions than answers in the ongoing investigation.
