Israel’s Failed Mission and Embarrassing War Crimes: Hamas Victorious | Republika Online

Hamas Declares Victory Over Israel’s Failed Mission

On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Palestinian group Hamas made a groundbreaking announcement in Gaza City. They declared that Israel had utterly failed to achieve its genocidal goals in the Gaza Strip. Following Israel’s agreement to a ceasefire in Gaza and a prisoner exchange deal, Hamas boldly stated, “The Israeli occupiers have failed to achieve their aggressive goals and have resorted to committing shameful war crimes against humanity.” This significant statement underscores the humiliation Israel faced at the hands of Hamas.

The Unity of Palestinian People and Hamas Resistance

Hamas emphasized that the “Operation Storm of Al-Aqsa” on October 7, 2023, showcased the unity between the Palestinian citizens and their resistance, shattering the enemy’s arrogance. The group forced the occupiers to halt their aggression against the Palestinian population and withdraw, despite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to prolong the war and commit further massacres.

Hamas’ Promise of Justice and Rebuilding

Promising to hold the enemy leaders and soldiers accountable for their crimes, Hamas assured that justice would prevail, regardless of the time it takes. They highlighted their current mission to provide immediate aid, protect their people, heal their wounds, repatriate displaced families, and initiate the rebuilding process. Finally, the Islamic resistance movement of Hamas reluctantly agreed to a ceasefire.

The Ceasefire Agreement and Its Significance

The ceasefire agreement was announced by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, on Wednesday night, January 15, 2025. The ceasefire will officially commence on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Both conflicting parties in the Gaza Strip have reached an agreement on prisoner and hostage exchange, paving the way for a potentially permanent ceasefire.

This agreement comes after months of on-and-off negotiations, spurred by President Donald Trump’s ultimatum for a ceasefire before his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The agreement includes provisions for the improvement of conditions for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails. However, Israel refused to release senior Palestinian prisoners.

The formation of an Egypt-Qatar committee to oversee the return of refugees from southern to northern Gaza is also part of the agreement. The detailed terms of the agreement, agreed upon by both parties, will be implemented in three stages starting on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

This milestone agreement marks a significant step towards peace and stability in the region, offering hope for a brighter future for the Palestinian people.
