Continued Support for Hasto’s Legal Case

The first instance was on July 5, 2024, during a party school event at the PDI Perjuangan DPP, where Megawati encouraged Hasto to face the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators without fear. She criticized the KPK investigators’ alleged arbitrary methods towards Kusnadi, accusing them of lying, intimidating, and confiscating the party’s belongings.

On July 30, 2024, at the National Conference of the Perindo Party in Jakarta, Megawati once again mentioned Hasto and KPK investigator AKBP Rossa. She claimed that individuals within Joko Widodo’s circle of power were targeting their party cadres, including Hasto.

Promise of Action

As the legal proceedings unfold, the support and actions of party leaders like Megawati continue to shape the narrative surrounding Hasto’s case. It remains to be seen how this dynamic will evolve and impact the political landscape in the coming days.
