The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Commissioner General Ade Ary Syam Indradi, spilled the beans on this juicy info at the Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on Friday (May 2, 2025).
According to Ade Ary, the detention period for the two suspects has been extended for another 30 days starting today, as ordered by the South Jakarta District Court. The police are still busy gathering more evidence for their case, which will then be handed back to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Nikita Mirzani’s lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, spilled the tea that her detention has been prolonged for another 30 days. This is actually the second time her detention has been extended, with the police previously adding 40 days on March 24th. The whole detention saga is related to a blackmail case reported by Reza Gladys.
Fahmi mentioned that the extension of Nikita’s detention is pretty standard procedure in handling cases like these. Doctor Reza Gladys previously reported Nikita to the Jakarta Metro Police for allegedly violating various laws related to cyber activities and money laundering.
