The Indonesian National Police (Polri) recently hosted a nationwide iftar event on Thursday, March 13, 2025, where 136,000 takjil packages were distributed to the public, alongside donations to 2,244 orphaned children. This communal breaking of fast took place simultaneously across all police headquarters from Aceh to Papua.

At the National Police Headquarters, the event was graced by the presence of Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, accompanied by all senior officials of the National Police Headquarters. Among the attendees were also Ninik Rahayu, Chairwoman of the Press Council, and various media leaders, including Dahlan Dahi, CEO of Tribun Network.

During the event, Ninik Rahayu expressed appreciation for the role of the police in fostering strong synergy with the media. She emphasized that the participation of the police in social activities alongside the media was a positive step towards creating a more harmonious relationship between law enforcement, the press, and the public. This gathering was seen as a testament to the close bond between the police force and the media.

More than 11,000 journalists from various media outlets were present at the event in different regions. The Chief of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, highlighted that the collaboration between the police and the media extended beyond mere reporting to tangible actions benefiting the community.

Brigadier General Trunoyudo emphasized that the distribution of takjil was not just about sharing food but also a means to foster unity and harmony among the police, media, and the public.
