Niat Puasa Bulan Rajab: Jadwal dan Cara Berpuasa yang Benar

TRIBUNNEWS.COM – According to the Islamic calendar released by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag), the beginning of the month of Rajab 1446 H falls on Wednesday (1/1/2025), tomorrow. Rajab itself is one of the noble months. Therefore, it would be better if Muslims perform voluntary worship during the month of Rajab, one of which is fasting in Rajab.

### The Schedule of Fasting in the Month of Rajab

Fasting in Rajab can be done for several days, without a set number of days. This means that Muslims can fast in Rajab for 3 days, 7 days, or 10 days. According to Imam al-Ghazali, there are several recommended days for fasting, namely at the beginning, middle, and end of the month, as well as on specific days such as Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

If you intend to fast in Rajab at the beginning of the month, then tonight, on Wednesday (1/1/2025), Muslims can have sahur (pre-dawn meal) and recite the intention to fast in Rajab. Here is the intention to fast in Rajab: “نَوَيْتُ صَوْمَ شَهْرِ رَجَبَ سُنَّةً لِلّٰهِ تَعَالَى” which translates to “I intend to fast in Rajab, as a voluntary act for the sake of Allah.”

The fasting schedule for Rajab 2025 according to Kemenag is as follows:

– Monday, January 6, 2025
– Thursday, January 9, 2025
– Monday, January 13, 2025
– Thursday, January 16, 2025
– Monday, January 20, 2025
– Thursday, January 23, 2025
– Monday, January 27, 2025
– Thursday, January 30, 2025

In addition to Mondays and Thursdays, Muslims can also observe fasting on ayyamul bidh in the month of Rajab on:
